Boom, baby!
We’re going to make some noise today! Well, figuratively…
These adorable wooden firecrackers are perfect for adding a patriotic POP to your front porch any time of year, but especially on Independence Day! These DIY decorations are eye-catching and just all around American. Check out the supplies list and step-by-step directions below to make your very own wooden firecrackers!
Supplies:
3 pieces of wood (cut to your liking – I like mine tiered at 3 heights)
Paint: red, white, and blue
Hot glue gun
Drill
Patriotic foil sprays (Michaels or Hobby Lobby)
Step-by-step Tutorial:
- Drill a hole in the top of each wooden block
- Paint each block a different base color and then add stars, stripes, polka dots – get creative!
- After paint dries, squirt a little hot glue into the drilled hole and stick your foil sprays inside!
This is a simple, quick craft that will add tons of patriotism to your decorating game! I can’t wait to see pictures of your finished product. I love that everyone’s creations will be different while still representing the red, white, and blue!
Happy crafting, friends!
Xoxo,
