No need to take down the tree once Christmas is over! Leave it up for some NYE fun that I promise the kiddos will LOVE! And…there might just be so much excitement that they will help you take all of the ornaments off! (I aways end up taking the tree down by myself so I will take any helpI can get!) After you get the ornaments packed away It is time to head to my favorite, The Dollar Tree!
Here are some of the goodies I grabbed:
gold star plate
crowns
paper blowers
paper horns
black paper plates to make clocks
gold pom pom garland
NYE balloon
balloon weights (I just wanted the fun wired stars that were attached!)
That’s it! $10 later we were ready to decorate!
We just started to fill in the tree with the pom poms, star plates, and blowers! There is no wrong way to do it! We used the horns and the stars from the balloon weights as a topper for the tree. Using a white marker, the kids drew clocks on the black paper plates making sure they all pointed to midnight!
The NYE balloon was perfect to drape across the front of the tree as a final touch!
You don’t need to throw a fancy NYE party to do some decorating! By the way… do they really exist? Do moms actually go to them? I can’t remember the last time I went out and rang in the new year in a cute little dress. Most NYE’s I am in my jammies, on the couch with my kiddos and hubby just being together and there is no place I would rather be!
