Farmhouse DIY Decor

With farmhouse décor being all the rage, this little planked sign called out to me to give it a farmhouse makeover! What I love most abo0ut this is how you can switch it up for seasons or holidays. It would look adorable on the wall or resting on an easel. I just love the simplicity. Are you a farmhouse girl?

Simple Rustic Christmas Wreath

This rustic Christmas wreath was a cinch to make! With only a few supplies, we took this plain grapevine wreath and gave it a rustic makeover!  If the rustic look doesn’t match your décor look for floral picks that coordinate with your theme. Instead of antlers you could attach ornaments, cotton, or berries. This time of year the craft stores are overflowing with greenery, picks, and ribbon! So many choices! You will be whipping these out in no time!

Fall Centerpiece Challenge

I was so excited when Stefanie from Oh You’re Lovely challenged me with this adorable crate from Michaels.

I knew I wanted to create a Thanksgiving centerpiece that was easy and simple, so off I went to Michaels to find some supplies! When I saw this wooden word I knew it had it be attached to the front of the crate.

I was lucky enough to find my dried florals in the fall section that had been reduced to 80% off! Score! I already had paint, mason jars, and my hot glue gun so it was time for the challenge to begin! You can watch the FB Live video below and don’t forget to head over to Stefanie’s Page to see how she transformed her crate! Give her some virtual love to buy subscribing to her page and following her on FB. She is absolutely precious!

Sweet Blessings,

Jessica

Why You Shouldn’t Throw Halloween Candy Away

Mamas, does it feel like there is Halloween candy everywhere? Are your kids constantly asking for it? Have you threatened to throw it away 100 times? I totally feel you! But trust me, don’t do it! Don’t throw it away!

(Especially the Reese Cups, you may need them later! Candy tax, right mamas?)

Hide it if you need to but don’t throw it away. You are probably thinking I am crazy but trust me, there is a reason!

Think gingerbread houses!

Yes girls, they make great decorations for gingerbread houses! Especially if you have one of these beauties! Which is not only the perfect size for a whole family to do together but it is reusable (think spooky Halloween house, Easter cottage, Valentine’s Day love house)! You can purchase yours here using my affiliate link: http://amzn.to/2zse3rJ

I can’t wait to see pictures of your gingerbread houses covered in all of that Halloween candy!!!! The perfect way to recycle those sweet treats!

Happy decorating,

Boo Neighbor!

What can be more fun than booing your neighbor? My kiddos love driving around the neighborhood to see who has been booed and who is still waiting!

How do you boo your neighbor? I am so glad you asked! We love to collect Halloween treats and novelties to fill up our Halloween bucket! Target dollar spot did not disappoint this year! Here are some essentials

Candy (obviously)

Glow sticks (perfect for Halloween night)

Halloween pencils & erasers

Window clings

Pumpkin decorating kit

Stickers

Coloring books

The age of the children you are booing should have a huge influence on how you fill your bucket!

Next, print the printable so your neighbors know what their next steps are!

Leaves and Lights

My tomato cage tree is one of my favorite fall decorations. It sits on the hearth next to my fireplace and it’s warm glow just makes the room feel so homey. This is a quick and easy project with only 3 supplies: lights, tomato cage, and leaf garland! That’s it! Easy peasy!  Imagine how pretty they would look to have them sitting on your front porch. That screams come and sit and have a pumpkin spice latte! Now, go dig in the garage to find your old tomato cages and clean them up!

Fall Basket Love

I am so loving the turquoise and orange color combo this year! It may not be traditional but it is super cute and my dollar tree pumpkins are the perfect filler! I ended up attaching the words with wire so I can reuse or repaint the basket if I want to change things up! I love a project that can be repurposed! Enjoy!!!!

Happy Fall Y’all!

Cutest little pumpkins you have ever seen!

My love of the dollar tree is no secret but these pumpkins……. I really can’t stop! It is a problem! Every time I pass a store I find the wheel steering toward that bright green awning and their they are. Boxes of ugly orange pumpkins! But not for long! After a mini transformation they are cute as can be!

Happy pumpkin making,

Jessica
